My first Roomba became sentient about 7 years ago. I made friends with it. About 3 years in it had a burned up motor so the wife bought another one. She was planning on pitching it. I found a motor for it on eBay for $30, saving its life. Now it does my bidding and protects me from the new robot vac. Please, we all know that it will be a subtle take over. It will be nanobot distribution pushed out as a vaccination for a make believe pandemic that will be used to infect everyone, slowly converting all of our biological cells into synthetic copies. Then, finally, when we are all machine we will be Borg. The Roomba will be the new house pet.
