slide stuck xp-9

I was cleaning my xp-9 and the slide lock wouldn't close all the way After several attempts I decided to remove the barrel and spring and see if the slide would go all the way on. It did. But now it is too far on and hits something when I attempt to remove it. Can anyone tell me how to get it off? Thnx in advance

found it ... you can use a small flat head screwdriver and go in through the small flat opening below the striker status hole, and lower the sear and slide the slide off...
