Smokeless Powder Development History: Transitional Propellants

Nice article on the history section of smokeless powders, good read and interesting.

Good article Anni, thanks!
It filled in a blank space on smokeless powder development as a propellant, the part on powders during the Civil War didn't know before. Gun powder and it's variants have a very long interesting history going back much further than many people may realize.

Wasn't just gunpowder plants or combs that caught fire and possibly exploded from early plastics. Too many movie theaters did as well. Some laws are still in effect in theaters because of the older films flammability even though they typically use different digital media now days. Is partially why older more flamable film was stored in round thin metal cans then in larger metal cases and usually stored in fireproof vaults.
