I’ve found Levi 501 Signatures have very deep pockets- nicely carry any pocket pistol.Are there any 14oz K frames? I don't disagree with your reasoning but, (there always seems to be a but) I'm a big guy big thighs and wear jeans. No blended wool dress or tactical for me. Nothing designer just plain old Wranglers. Pocket carry a J Frame is do-able but just. So a light weight 38 OWB works best for me. Even in shorts, sandals and a polo shirt.
Why do I carry a snubby? Ease, familiarity, simplicity, comfort, and it's worked for 40 years, if it works don't fix it.

College town here, so cargo pants to blend in. Every dude wears them, even the man buns. So I blend, and it is fine with me. Hard to go back to jeans after getting used to Duluth. Lots of pockets, and easy to pocket carry a J Frame or Colt Detective Special. But no, I could not pocket carry a K frame...it would look like I had a canned ham in my pocket.

Pictures make every topic better...here is the Colt Cobra I carry when I can't carry a more significant firearm. I love Smith and Wessons, but the early model Colts have far superior sights. Not to mention an extra round.

BC22WM, you are so right. If a little at a time we all give up the brand...they will feel it. I am a Wrangler man when I wear jeans....after a lifetime of wearing Levis. I switched because of their anti gun stance. Did they feel it? Probably not. But if we all did...they will!

Why? Two main reasons.
-My 2nd/3rd gun(s) get carried in places that attract grit/crud/lint like my ankle or pocket. Yes, maintenance gets them clean at the end of the day, but they get plenty scrappy in between cleanings.
A revolver deals with this environment well because it’s finger-operated.
-The shape conceals well.

You can get close.
S&W Model 12s with 2” barrels are around 19oz.
The S&W model 12 was an Airweight K-frame .38 Spl. They used an aluminum alloy frame. Early ones had an aluminum cylinder too, and just make your 15oz mark, but that aluminum cylinder is risky at best. I have one, just for the sake of having it, but don’t shoot it.
A K-frame that’s so light can feel pretty unusual. My 4” RB 12 is only 1.7oz more than a 2”, and that makes it feel even more odd. My early one with the aluminum cylinder is ridiculously light feeling for the size. It’s weighs 14.99oz while my 442 Airweight J-frame is 14.43oz with Eagle grips.
The Model 12 was a much-passed-over gun when they were being made, and more so now. Most people have never heard of them.
I’ve come to be sort of a nut about them, and carry one daily.

I have been trying different reloads - for this old dawg - the Zeta speed strips are secure to carry & faster than traditional speed strips. This is to combat the capacity concerns.
The Snubbies ability to be EDC as pocket- AIWB - IWB - OWB - Ankle carry is another advantage

I've carried a S&W 642 in a front pocket of my jeans as my "second" gun almost ever since I received my LTC permit. I say "almost" because I went through the typical "newbie" rite of passage of trying several options before settling on the snub.
In my current living circumstance, I cannot readily keep my "primary" on my person 24x7 (or, rather, as close to 24x7 as the necessity for sleep and personal hygiene will allow), so my snub has become my "primary" by default. It's as unobtrusive as my wallet, and just as light. I often "forget" that the little snub is "there", and I don't have to locate it in addition to my keys whenever I leave the house.
Security: It's always in the pocket of my jeans and under my control. Unless I'm asleep at night or in the shower, I am wearing those jeans, so it is never out of my reach or out of my possession. My preschool grandsons are part of the household and I don't have to worry about one of them "finding" it and playing with it.
It conceals like a dream. I've never had anyone "call me out" for having my gun on me because they spotted it in my pocket. In the pocket holster, it "prints" like a wallet and it's rounded contours don't scream "GUN!". I take a few minutes to put 25-50 rounds through it every time I go to the range to keep up my proficiency with it.
At my age and in my current physical condition, I'm not going to be running toward the sound of gunfire. Unless I hear the voice of a loved one mingled into the cacophony, my snub is merely my "I'm out of here... NOW!" gun.
