I've been to that range a number of times. I will only go midweek and early in the morning. I've been there when it was busy and it made Dodge City look like It's A Small World at Disneyworld. I always felt sorry for the older gentleman who volunteered as Range Patrol.

There were 3 suicides in 2021 at the range I go to… feel bad for the staff

I feel bad for the others at the range that witness such a sad event. I'm also sorry for the families and loved ones that these individuals have left behind.

There were lots of puddles of water off around the boulders and a couple of those puddles were pretty red still. Happened sometime last night I reckon.

That's terrible. One thing we all need to keep in mind is that with the number of guns being sold in the last couple years, there are a lot of newbie out there on the ranges. Accidents can happen to anyone but we went from 20 million NICS checks in 2014 to almost 40 million in 2020 and 2021. don't trust that the guy next to you knows anything about range safety.
