Had some rough weather around me today, this was just 5 miles north of where we live in eastern Ohio.

That could ruin your day! I hope your guns are in the underground bunker! My area has been missed by any thunder storms that have passed by, but the temperature has been so hot here every day. In fact it's been so hot that these guys were passing through the neighborhood this afternoon:

@Annihilator - Can't believe I missed this thread.....

Here in CLE-Metro (well, inner-ring eastern suburbs), we were initially forecast for some severe weather, too. According to my co-worker -whose daughter and future son-in-law arrived that morning, flying in from FL to Hopkins Intl.- the radar had showed what seemed to be "Moses parting the sea," and everything just bifurcated around our area.

Glad y'all were OK.

Tornados are the one thing that I actually worry about here in our area. We're lucky to live well above any flood zones, and we'er well-stocked and prepped for other weather-related emergencies (being on the cusp of the primary snow belt, prepping to stay a few days at home in the winter is just the cost-of-business for being able to enjoy four true seasons and a beautiful spring and fall). The violence of tornados -and the relatively unpredictable nature of it- was in-part what drove us to our family preps.

Prepping for the zombie apocalypse is fun...prepping for natural disasters? Sobering.
