Springfield Armory XD-M Threaded Barrels in 9mm, 10mm and .45 ACP: First Look

Once again, no love for the XD 4"service, and 5" tactical in .45. Nice they did a 3.8 and 4.5" for a .45 Xdm that they no longer produce.
The article mentioned nothing about a 3.8" threaded barrels. It stated 4.5" only. Did the 3.8" come from the factory with threaded? I've personally never seen one.

i have several of each in 45 and 9 .
the one that is a handful is the sub compact 45. wholly cow
my xds have been great pistols, been dropped in mud, run over by the atv
went swimming a few times ,
for the money they are tough little numbers

I have a 3.8 XDM Compact in .40 S&W. I see no reference to the Compact in .40. Is it made?

I'm also interested in an optics ready replacement slide for the Compact .40.

This is great but will they produce the same thing for the 5.25" XDM I bought to shoot in matches? Even the XDM Elite only has threaded barrels in the 4.5". Since the 5.25" is considered the "precision" version it should have a threaded barrel option too for a compensator at least.

Sure it will, the barrel will just stick out the front an inch+ more....
I see Bar-Sto makes these 10mm ported barrels

Springer Precision makes longer barrels you can get threaded and they have a compensator you can get as well.

I like to see what my options are in case I decide to modify
