I bought my 5" Tactical just a few months ago and I'm very happy with it. I bought it at my LGS for $399, that was a price I couldn't pass up.

It has two things going for it: it's Springfield Armory, and it's chambered for .45 ACP ;-)

What's not to like about the XD45? It fits my hand perfectly, offers a great sight picture with the fiber optic front sight, a 5 inch barrel for greater accuracy, it's easy to field strip, has a 13 round magazine, and best of all it's a 45 ACP.

I have the standard XD Mod.2 4" in .45 ACP, and it's one of the most accurate handguns I have ever fired. It's actually the gun that turned me on to Springfield. I got incredibly lucky and picked it up for under $400 when Springfield announced they were discontinuing the Mod.2 line of XD's earlier this year. I'm sure the 5" is an excellent gun as well.

Pretty much exactly the same with me. Except I paid about $500 a couple years ago.

I have it in the 5” version and it’s a fantastic weapon. I have a soft spot for the .45; it’s what I learned on in the marines. That’s my nightstand weapon, 13 rounds of .45, what’s not to like?
