Springfield OEM 1911 Mags

I'm considering ordering a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec. The gun only comes with one 7-round magazine. I found some 8-round OEM Springfield mags at a decent price, but Wilson Combat ETM's are only $1 more. Do the 8-round Springfield mags offer any advantage (ex. precise fit, reliability) over the Wilson Combat mags?

8 round wilson combat mag didnt fit my Defender Mil Spec properly. Snags up a bit upon entry and have to give it a good hard hit to jam it in. Hangs up a bit about halfway in but does go and functions after seated .

Not my first choice for mag. Must have a slight diff in design. Though my WC mags do work great on other models

I happen to be cleaning my Mil Spec 1911 as we speak. Nice timing . 👍

(I’ll add here after the “save post snafu”)

i have Wilson Combat 8 rnd mags in mine, including my DW's, Tisas, S&W, KImber, and several other 1911's . they work just fine. and they were at my LGS by the dozens.

The lip on the front of the bumper pads can be a touch to high-making the magazine not want to seat all the way-
I have most of my Wilson Mags outfitted with the steel or aluminum base pads-I have had to file the height of the lip down on a couple of them-
Mostly they interfere with my RIA pistols but none of my Kimber's
