I'm fully onboard with what you're saying.
It's kinda like saying we need to go after the computers to save kids from child exploitation, if you catch my drift.

Going after the firearm itself is basically saying that the people that buy them legally are the ones responsible for the criminals with the switches. Really flawed logic IMO. Banning the brand Glock isnt going to solve anything as there are just as many clones out there that can be converted. Punish the majority innocent over the criminal few. Why not just put life sentences on any felon in possession of a switch? That may have a better effect on the issue.

It’s just a way of controlling the masses. If they can’t win in the courts then they lobby to get rid of them. The only problem is criminals don’t follow laws and will do whatever they want. Personally I think it’s the lead to others to be outlawed in the future.

It's just another way to open a door to banning all semi-autos they include any other handgun. With enough ingenuity, any semi-auto could  POTENTIALLY be converted to full-auto and then the how-to instructions distributed online.

It’s just another way of them squeezing gun manufacturers out. They don’t understand how everything works.

I am sure that Illinois will exempt LEOs. They do with every other anti-gun law they pass.

Most likely yes but try finding a FFL to do it. I know a retired LEO that had a hard time finding a FFL that would do it.
