Stockpiling for when the SHTF

7.62x51 or .308 and M855 or M193? Best of each set for stockpiling. I live on mountainous land with the nearest neighbor 300 acres away. Thank you for the knowledge.

My problem is with all the FRT's and Full autos, i have to keep buying crap loads of it. but i do like to keep a bunch stocked. and i couldn't tell you how much.

Is the area forested or open mountainous country?

M855 didn't perform well in Afghanistan, then there was a switch to Mk. 262.

M193 is OK at short-range but in mountainous country it's ballistics is a short-coming.

The .308/7.62x61 will be more effective at longer ranges, as well buck the swirling condition in mountainous country.
