Strange Metal Pieces

Hello all,
Quick question for my own peace of mind. I recently purchased a XD-M Elite Compact 10mm. It has functioned flawlessly and I'm very happy with it. However, when I unloaded it and dropped the magazine today, I noticed two shiny metal pieces sticking out. Sort of in the mag well area. I've attached two pictures highlighting them. They appear to potentially be part of a spring of some kind, but I'm uncertain. Are those two little pieces of shiny metal normal in my model of gun or do they indicate a problem?

Uh… that doesn’t look right. Are they “attached” with the slide or the frame? Either way i think that requires a phone call to SA customer service.

Those are springs sticking out, no problem with that, all my XDm’s had that, normal, I panic when I first saw that on my XDm. Elite compact in 9mm, immediately looked at my other one which is same as yours and it was the same, no worries sir, it’s fine!

Here's two more pictures after field stripping the gun. Those metal pieces are definitely part of a spring assembly of some kind. I'll be honest, some of you guys' replies really had me freaked out. 🤣

Is the general consensus that this is normal? Especially after seeing these additional pictures?
