many years ago, there was a canadian company, that took a Dodge ram pick up truck...4x4.......removed the rear axle, and drive shaft...removed the bed and resectioned the rear frame.Other versions and brands of this have been around for a good number of years now.
I prefer to ride mine.
they put in independent rear suspension, attached to a uni frame.
the beds body rode over this new uni-sub frame.
push a button, and the bed lowered to the ground where it was mounted on the uni-sub frame, the back wheels simply stayed put.
open the reworked tailgate..
drive bike inside bed...
raise bed.
truck was front wheel drive only.
i cannot find pics or video of this, it might have been only a few made, and maybe never sold..???
i dunno.
