Suppressor Education

Another noob question;

NOTE: I find asking a question first to get educated responses makes it easier to eliminate fluff when doing research and I find this group provides thoughtful responses with appropriate levels or snark :)

I purchased a Rugged Suppressor Obsidian 9 to use with my RXM. Also purchased the 3 Lug adapter to attach the suppressor to my Kuna. What I'm trying to figure out is what other calibers can I use the suppressor for?

According to The Silencer Shop, this...

OK, that's where I need clarification, is that saying that the suppressor will work for all pistol calibers up to, and including 9mm and rifle calibers up to .300 BLK (subsonic). is that based on bullet diameter? Do I need to be concerned about pressures? is this suppressor safe to use on a rifle in 223\5.56 or 7.62?

No, I wouldn't chance it. the obsidian9 is basically a pistol suppressor. if you want to stick with Rugged they make an alaskan 360 you can shoot those and others. get a 22 and 30 cal endcap for it and threaded mount as 308 and 223 are different most of your rifle cans have welded baffles, non removable.

No to 5.56 and 7.62
9mm, other pistol calibers and the 30/30 as listed in Old Grunts reply on post #5 .
