good idea i supposed for tornado or hurricane or maybe even earth quake zones, or a zombie apocalypse...Would this survival pod make you feel safer?

but not where i live, as i am a city dweller.
people in suburban or farm areas i think so.
but them zombies are getting smarter and smarter everyday, eating all those brains...........

THAT one does seem a bit reticules; but I do see virtue in a "Safe Room". Remember the report about a 96% chance that an asteroid will collide with earth in July of 2027

Agreed. Im not a supporter of shelter in the original post; but I do think some will see virtue. Suppose you live in a rental property, for example

I wouldnt count on that but I suppose its good to have hope. I do love the survival/preparedness thinking. I got hooked in the late 70s when a failing economy and world politics looked like it might lead to depression and then Nukes; but I was a young kid and could only marvel at a neighbor's bomb shelter turned into a wine cellar. My folks were much less concerned. They had survived the Depression and Dad WW2 and Korea. Still they tolerated me stashing C Rations and ammo under my bed.
Sitting in a guard tower in West Germany nuke site, did nothing to change my mind. Then Communist terrorism morphed into islamic terror, so yeah I see virtue in some planning....BESIDES it gives me something to justify the next purchase

we have had to use ours now 4 times
luckily the tornado dissipated before it got to us, but one did gently twist the mobile home behind us
thought it was a waste of dollars at the time we had it put in, but now...its a bargain
in our neighborhood there are maybe 20 other homes with them
