My daughter-in-law, in her 50s. Was born in the USA. Her parents got their green card when Reagan made it easy. Anyway, her sister’s son (this gets complicated) was watching a movie, when he was supposedly asked to go to the lobby. There a supposed ICE agent asked him for ID. He had been carrying his U.S. passport, and was ‘let go”. My thinking on this is that it was a scam. If he didn’t have the passport, he would have been ordered to pay x$. To be let go. These family squabbles are getting to me!
