Man! Those are nice fish. Not many giant Marlins or sail fish for that matter left, too bad they had to die. The Chinese long liners are unfortunately raping the oceans. Several months ago one of the South American countries had chased Chinese ships out of the Galapagos Islands sanctuary illegally fishing. Hard to tell how many protected species they vacuumed up.

That’s a gargantuan fish. I’m not sure how far either of these boats were offshore. In NC those folks have to go a good 30-50 miles offshore to get into the deeper waters(bigger fish).
I couldn’t imagine hooking anything in either range.
