In the world of rifle accessories, the amount of products available today is nearly endless. With multiple versions of every product out there, it’s important to know what you want and what some quality options are in each category. Regarding Back Up Iron Sights (BUIS) there are typically a few variations of folding or fixed sights.

I have some magpuls as they fit where needed, but diamondhead are my go-to's with, but some have kns front sites. The kns fs has 2 adjustments for elevation (2 dots) and when done properly it gives 3 yardages.

I know from experience the Military Issue sucks. We had them break all the time as far as they would not stay locked down.

I have 2 AR’s one I kept Carrying handle Irons and one flat top with an Aimpoint PRO and Magpul flip up rear that has so far worked great no issues

So for most mortal normal non tier one wanna bes Magpul or a couple other reputable males will probably be just fine!

I usually run Magpul polymer or Midwest Industries metal, but I'm pretty sure that I have a YHM on something. I've had Magpul polymer sights on a patrol rifle for more than a decade and I've never had an issue with them. Not sure what kind of abuse the writer mentioned for them to fail multiple times.

Depending on the platform...

Most to least used in this order.

BoBro
ARMS
Midwest Industries
Kriss
Magpul
