R-410A is being phased out due to its high Global Warming Potential (GWP) as part of the EPA's efforts to reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions. The transition to more environmentally friendly refrigerants, like R-454B, is underway, with R-410A production expected to be significantly reduced by 2036.
I don't know how many of you remember this, but R134a was the replacement for R12. R134a is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerant that was widely used to replace R-12 in automotive and commercial cooling systems. While it doesn’t harm the ozone layer like older refrigerants, it has a high global warming potential (GWP), leading to a phase-out by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
R134a was replaced by the "more environmentally friendly" R-410A. Now, they say that R-410A has high global warming potential, and they are now changing it to R-454B. Which will force all of us to change over to a new system.
For those of you who buy into the whole "climate change" crap, here is further proof of the lies they have brainwashed you into believing. This has nothing to do about "environmentally friendly", it is all about MONEY. Period. They come up with a new formula, and to justify forcing everyone to change over to their new "magic elixor" and pay MORE MONEY for this snake oil, they claim that the "old" formula had "high global warming potential" and that this new formula doesn't. Any of you pulled your heads out of your rearends yet? Freon, or R12 was not poisonous or explosive like its replacement was. They actually claimed that Freon, "damaged the ozone layer". Any of you awake yet? I knew it was bullcrap when they first did this crap. Their licensing was running out on the R12, they didn't want to renew it because they had a new, MORE EXPENSIVE refrigerant replacement, and had to justify their forcing everyone to switch over.
Any of you still want to believe anything "science" tells you is "settled science"?
 
I absolutely believe in climate change. Every few thousand years or so, the Earth gives itself an adjustment. This is just part of the planet's natural evolution.
However, I also believe that human activity has very little effect on this climate change. We may have contributed to it in some small way, but we didn't cause it and we can't stop it. When the climate does change there are only two options. Adapt or die. Nothing else.
Most people have the completely wrong attitude toward the Earth. This is NOT our planet. We don't own it. The planet owns us. We are just another one of the thousands of species that occupy this planet. Its our own arrogance that makes humans think we're special. We aren't.

So I completely agree. All this climate change BS is all about money. 🤬

Yes, we are in the period after the ice age where the planet is warming back up. After it peaks, it starts its cooling back down to the ice age. It is a cycle of cooling and heating, which is the natural cycle of the planet. There is nothing we can do to change it, and those who say we are to blame for it have more sinister motives. It is called control. Just like they cut through thousands of acres of the Rain Forest in Brazil for their "Climate Change" summit.
 
The Earth is estimated to be 4.5 Billion years old. Humans have existed for about 200,000 years. In planetary terms, that's the blink of an eye. Then consider that its only been about the last 200 years or so that humans have been able to have an effect on our environment. We aren't killing the planet, we're killing ourselves.
No matter what we do or how big a mess we make, this planet will recover and still be here long after the last human has turned to dust.

you know, seems to me, its just here in the USA that "phases out" so many things...when china, and india, and god only knows how many other countries are still HUGE polluters.

First, on the money scam side of it, note that Bill Gates has bailed on the entire climate change scam. Methinks he knows the jig is up and wants to be on the winning side. He's scum and, personally, I think he's quite a dullard.

Second, and I'll try to be brief, but the earth does operate in cycles, but not over a few thousand years, more like tens of thousands of years. All atmospheric and hydrospheric convection is powered by the sun. The cycle which changes the amount of sun is called the Milankovich Cycle. There are three aspects to the cycle that affects earth's exposure to the sun, and therefore our climate.
1. Earth's tilt moves over a period of about 11,000 years or so. It varies from about 24 degrees to 22 degrees from the normal. Right now we are moving from 24 degrees to about halfway to the 22 degree mark which means in the northern hemisphere we are moving north and in the southern we are moving south. This means less sunlight because the angle of the suns rays are hitting the earth less directly. Think of it as ??? Texas moving about 100 miles further north and Ushuaia already cold getting colder.
2. All planets have an elliptical orbit, but Earth's is only slightly elliptical being darn near circular. This will change over thousands of years as the eccentricity increases and the farthest away from the sun (aphelion) will occur when the northern hemisphere is in the summer. Milder summers will result in literally a snowball effect as winters will be come colder. As more snow and ice accumulate and hang around longer during the spring more of the sunlight will be reflected back into space. The northern hemisphere is the key to glacier formation because it has more land mass, which looses heat more rapidly than does the mostly water southern hemisphere.
3. Earth's precession (wobble). Earth's axis wobbles like a top losing energy. Eventually, Polaris as the North Star will be replaced by Vega. Pointing in a different direction will also alter the amount of sunlight reaching the surface.

So yes, we are heading to a period of glaciation. In about 8000 to 12,000 years people will be trying to figure out how to add CO2 into the atmosphere :rolleyes:
