Im a little PCC tired, especially the AR based versions. Dont get me wrong, Im a huge SMG guy and I do like AR9s but a 16" 9mm has me scratching my head for role to fit it in and a $2K DD has me scratching more.

A pistol version or a SBRd one is a waaay better fit for a "I want to be a SMG" gun.

If its a gun you want for gaming and the manufacturer gives you cool factor points then by all means; but I just dont get the package otherwise.

I run SMGs and yes semi only in pistol size "SMGs" as SMGs. In their role theres little else thats better

I'm a DD fan, got three of them so I was seriously debating on this DD PCC against the Springfield KUNA to add to my collection. Now I imagine, based on owning 3 of their other guns, that this is a great weapon. But I'm telling you, I'm happy with my cheaper version KUNA. My current favorite gun, and best buy of 2025. No regerts!!! ;)

The DD PCC offers a range of barrel lengths to fit within any length restrictions (state/local) and the unfortunate remaining NFA registration requirement.

One gets the most performance from HOT 147s in a 16, but IMO a 10-12" length would be optimum for them.

And, as per the articles if you want to retain an AR-type control system (muscle-memory) the DD would have minimal transition issues.

I stuck with that approach with my primary PCC of another brand.

I had one and they are nice but decided to get rid of it.
Reasons? Well shooting suppressed it sucked. A lot of Gas to the face then more recoil due to blowback design. At that price point? No thanks. For roughly the same price you can get into a Nexus Roller Delayed using the same Cz mags or HK variant. A little more coin and you can get into a real HK. Parts and magazines are abundant.
Don’t get me wrong I love DD rifles ; I own 4 of them. It’s just a premium price for a blowback design. Sure you get more barrel length options ; I just don’t see the added value there.
