“The Gun”

Gun that shot best in my hand and I carried for nigh on 20 years was an East German Makarov. Still resides in my Ghb which only has stuff I rely on 100 percent in it. I still carry it too, its like an old friend bringing a fine bourbon...

Close second, 3 inch Model 60, more accurate than I am, carries and conceals very well, and its .357 magnum, nuff said there. It's the one i carry most these days of leisure around the homestead, leisure HA I have more stuff to do than I ever did when I worked, not sure how that works.

I've tried to love many others over time for different reasons. Lighter, higher capacity, concealability, sexier, or just wanted something new. Then a day at the range mandates I put my good ol, holster worn, heavy assed, Model 457 back into its rightful place on my side. Never fails, feels good in both hands, and always accurate enough to get the job done.

457 is the most underrated 2nd gen S&W pistol of all time.
