This is a picture of one in 44-40 that belonged to my grandfather. He traded a violin and a plug of tobacco for it. He went on to work cattle ranches in Wyoming, Montana, North and South Dakota. It was made in 1873 and has been a family heirloom for over 100 years.

Interesting replacement screw behind the trigger guard and an added D ring on the butt. If it could only talk!
