The Hits Just Keep On Coming

Just had to summon the Ambulance. Wife going back to the hospital. I thought she was doing better after her surgery, apparently not. Latest test results weren't the best the surgeon\specialist wanted her back in and like me being stubborn she didn't wanna go but I just made the executive decision so I'm sure she'll be mad at me but it's the right thing to do. Oh well....
Wishing your wife the best and I pray for positive outcomes

As BobT said sometimes you have to do what's right not what's wanted, when Kates had an epileptic fit (one of the milder ones)she said I'm fine, don't think so rang an ambulance to make sure I'm not ambulance trained to make that decision so I got someone who did
i believe that many of us know right off the bat, what we need to do. however, we also know that our loved one knows too, what's going on and to that person, "this will pass" is something they hold onto, and don't feel or think the need to get taken to the hospital is warranted.

it really is not a tough decision to make, to dial 911, for as immediate help as possible.

and also, depending on where each of us live, like me in the city and multiple fire/rescue stations are like 4 minutes away, or those that live "out to the country" where response times can be well over 10 minutes or longer, then yes, seconds count to dial 911.

but we also want to abide by that person's wishes as well.

in the end, when seconds count, that adrenaline is starting to rush through our veins, we always come to that quick conclusion, that we know better, and make that call.

the tongue lashing we most likely will get later, if the situation turns out to be a "false alarm", is probably better than the alternative, when the coroner/funeral director, has to show up.

They moved the Wife into ICU today due to being sepsis. In the middle of it all my Dad calls, he's 81 and hard of hearing and announces that my Aunt just passed due to a massive heart attack and my Wife heard the news as well as I think the entire floor of the hospital ICU because he speaks so loud so understandably so the news sends us both to the moon. The hits just keep on coming. We both REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE THE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS being sent our way. IT REALLY MEANS A LOT TO US BOTH....

Really sorry to hear about your Aunt WP. Boy, you surely are going through a rough patch. I continue to pray and keep you and your wife in my thoughts and prayers and wishing you both the best of luck. Stay strong my friend.

Hi,

They moved the Wife into ICU today due to being sepsis. In the middle of it all my Dad calls, he's 81 and hard of hearing and announces that my Aunt just passed due to a massive heart attack and my Wife heard the news as well as I think the entire floor of the hospital ICU because he speaks so loud so understandably so the news sends us both to the moon. The hits just keep on coming. We both REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE THE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS being sent our way. IT REALLY MEANS A LOT TO US BOTH....

Lord, have mercy. Continued prayers for strength, healing, comfort, peace, and understanding. That's a lot to endure.

Blessings,

Cliff

It just keeps getting better. Left the Wife in ICU this morning and drove to my Aunt's funeral and as I'm enroute there, my Brother in Law calls me and tells me he's calling an ambulance for my older Sister who was having extreme chest pains. God is REALLY REALLY testing me...

Stay strong WP. Starting in 1966, every 3-4 years I’d lose a close loved one. Uncles, Aunts, Grandparents, Cousins, Stepmother & Parents. Finally quieted down about 1985, but a few passed just recently. Lots of wakes & funerals, with a few weddings mixed in. I too thought I was being tested and wondered what’s next. I’m hoping & praying for the best for your wife, you, and family. Hang tough there buddy, wishing you better fortune will now come your way.
