The p320 plot thickens…

To me, this is the crux of my current uncertainly with the P320 - why are guns behaving differently? Is it strictly manipulation, or is it also different parts batches/tolerance/interactions.
"or is it also different parts batches/tolerance/interactions."

i could accept that..sometimes different vendors supplying the parts..????

maybe a huge order overwhelmed the "regular" vendor, and they had to "farm out" for help..???

Or what's called "tolerance stacking." Different batches at slightly different sizes (thousandths of inches) that are within tolerance (+/- .002, etc.) per part, when one part is +.002 and the other is -.002, leaving a difference of .004, which may or may not be too much overall.

Root sum squares. We look at rms in radiation therapy as a way to give an overall number for machine Isocenter

Here is the latest whisper from an Air Force insider:

The soldier that died was not shot with his own weapon and a different soldier was messing around with their weapon out of the holster when it discharged. Anyone with a passing knowledge of the law can extrapolate from there in regards to how the criminal charges came about.

+100

Guns don't kill people, people kill people = Human Error

Good opinion piece

Sort of, except here it’s the absolute of the total deviation vs the acceptable sigma.
Rss will just amplify larger variance but yea was curious if there is a value for civilian and one for military. Doubt it but we were having a chat about it today at work.

Also to the point of Sig’s perceived arrogance in the statement that can’t fire without trigger move to rear, it’s semantics a bit but it doesn’t necessarily say it has to be pulled all the way to rear 🤷‍♂️.

Their tone-deaf response in general is definitely dictated by lawyers and shows how much their contract sales mean vs. any civilian sales they'll lose on this one model in an extensive line of firearms.

Take number of guns in field * probable rate of claim * the result by average out of court settlement. A * B * C = X. If X is less than recall, we don’t do one

Why dont y’all hold the same standard to auto manufacturers? Almost all major auto makers have fatalities due to faulty products.
Ford, GM, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, etc, etc ..
Recalls abound due to fatality. Yearly. Waaay more than all firearms combined due to product issues.
Yet these corporations exists to sell millions of cars a year. Y’all drive them and dont post nasty grams and continue to buy. Auto makers shrug it off as “doing business”.
Yet, I dont see the threads on here against any auto firms.

Auto’s are way more deadly than a firearm. Yet these autos play their lawyers in their defense just like Sig, and y’all shrug it off.
Go give up your car just like your Sig, cause there is not an auto firm around that doesnt have a team of lawyers around to play the same game

The amount of people who refused to send in their P320s for the voluntary update because they didn’t want to be without their precious pistol was staggering. Sig has already seen how little
this really matters beyond the profit seeking YouTubers and the sanctimonious, holier-than-thou naysayers. I’m quite sure Sig could offer another upgrade, couched in language that they are doing it for our general peace of mind, not because there were any proven issues with the P320 and only a small percentage of owners would send them in to be upgraded. Sig would continue to sell the P320 in record numbers and bask in the lofty position as the manufacturer who exports more pistols to foreign militaries than any other manufacturer .

PT Barnum said “A sucker is born every minute.”

He also said, “There’s no such thing as bad PR.”

cuz the dealer lots would be over flowing with recalls to repair or other issues..as it is now, not too many if any dealerships have actual mechanics these days over, "parts replacers" crack heads.

people will not stand for no car sitting in thier driveway, over sitting on a dealer lot. "my car can sit in my driveway, better than a dealers lot" attitude.

so many cars/trucks get sold (used) from 1 person to another and the issue(s) never get resolved, and a potentially deadly weapon (the vehicle) is on the road.

people just do not "see" a motor vehicle being a deadly "device", but the anti 2A crowd will always "see" a deadly firearm.

there just isn't as many "anti deadly vehicles" lobbyists, as there are "deadly weapons lobbyists"

cars don't kill people, the people driving them...........kill people

this "Take number of guns in field * probable rate of claim * the result by average out of court settlement. A * B * C = X. If X is less than recall, we don’t do one" was actually as it relates to auto manufacturers. and a quote fro the movie fight club :ROFLMAO:
