One of the most unique and interesting guns of the past is the Remington XP-100, produced from 1963 to 1998.

The XP-100 was one of the first handguns designed for long-range shooting and introduced the .221 Fireball and 6×45mm. The gun was noted for its accuracy and is still considered competitive today for varminting and silhouette shooting.

I have one that I picked up at an estate sale along with a couple of Contenders. It was chambered in 7mm TCU. A few years later I sent it off to Chris at Bayside Custom Gunworks and had him work his magic on it. McMillan stock, Bartlein barrel, Magnum bolt face and Sako extractor, Harrell brake, custom bolt release, Charcoal cerakote. Now chambered in 350 Remington Magnum. The perfect Bear gun for working over an electronic call.

Had one is 7BR. I eventually sent it off to HS Precision for a re-barrel to 7-08. @Talyn

Have some regrets in letting that go, but I transitioned back to smaller cartridges for dedicated handgun hunting(T/Cs mostly).

Along the same lines, remember the Lone Eagle? Magnum Research had that.
Had a guy appear at our range once with one. 30-06. That sucker would make your nose bleed from the muzzle concussion.

And there was the Weatherby single shot pistol….

Thanks for the short stroll down memory lane!

I had one that was customized by JD Jones of SSK Industries years ago when I shot silhouette, had it chambered in .338CJMK…. translated…..338 Crowley/Jones Masterdon Killer, it would launch a 200gr bullet about 3200fps out of a 14” barrel…..hand cannon….

I’m assuming you didn’t keep the factory plastic stock! I don’t think it would make it to a second shot.

And my rifle when I shot benchrest many years ago, .222rem, Hart barrel, Remington 40x action, McMillion stock, hand lapped bolt, can’t remember the trigger brand but it was set at 2oz….had 2 scopes depending on where I shot at, Leapold 24x and the one on is a Tasco 36x, which had better clarity then the Leapold.
