Have to make sure my 'heirs and assigns' know that, when it comes time to dispose of my powder stash. It makes great fertilizer!
I know it's not what you were looking for but MidouthShooterSupply.com has a little Alliant on hand, or did a few days ago. Primarily 'Reloader 50", and 'Reloader7', and some 'Red Dot'. I watch them pretty closely and it seems they get some small amounts of "Alliant" on a fairly regular basis, and they're good people to deal with. You might also want to check with Shooters World Powder.com. They have some pretty good charts that cross reference various powders to theirs. I was over there a few days ago and IIRC, their "Auto Pistol" was pretty close to "Win 231" which again, IIRC was a close cousin to "Unique". I'm not sure about the cross references, but I'm an old time user of "Unique", and some years ago when "Unique" was hard to come by, the "Win 231" did a pretty good job of playing like "Unique" in the HP Silhouette games.Sure wish Alliant would come back. I miss my Unique, 2400, and Green Dot! And you shouldn't throw out expired powder. It makes great fertilizer!
