The Top 10 Most Interesting Pistols of SHOT Show

Frame would never handle the pressure
I have no knowledge of the Anaconda strength or strength required for 454 Casull. I do know there were complaints back when the original were made, contrasting the Anaconda with the Model 29 for 44 magnum.

My 454 experience is limited to the Freedom Arms SA guns which are built like bank vaults, svelte but still bank vaults

Taurus Raging Hunter, Ruger Super Redhawk are offered in .454.

The Anaconda is/was always considered the stronger compared to the Model 29/629.

Never have had any issues with my Gen 1 44 mag Anaconda (they changed the guts in the Gen 2s) but don't shoot it much because of it's collectability, the same as my Gen 1 Python.

But there are some who always nitpick/complain about anything.

So I shoot my S&Ws more because of the above, but would get a Gen 2 Anaconda or a Model 657 (if Smith would get their act together) in 41 mag since I don't have that cartridge (which is a 10mm = 10.4x433).

The Steyr looks almost exactly like the Arex Rex Zero 2. Arex bailed out of the US market a few years back due to low market support. Hopefully the rebranded Steyr will do a little better. Glad to see the new model is optic ready.

They Steyr ATC was the more interesting of the two options. I don’t know if I’d rich to the LGS, but least it has some personality. As others mentioned Shot Show overall was pretty whelming.

Supposedly, the new Anaconda was beefed up in anticipation of it being a 454 casul.
I own an older Anaconda and a new Anaconda 4" and it does appear that it has been beefed a smidge.
Have been waiting for my lgs to get in a 45 colt Anaconda.

Also now own that fancy Beretta 32.

I watched some shot coverage and mostly I think I want a folding shotgun.
Maybe a Daewoo clone of they ever come to market.

interesting article, kind of surprised some of those made the list.
To me, the firearm on there I'm most looking forward to is the Canik Prime Radian.
The mc9 Prime is an incredibly good pistol and it was very well received last year. Think this is a cool upgrade / collaboration with Radian.

I'll probably pick one up as soon as it hits the market.

SHOT did not have as much innovative stuff as years past but everyone and I mean almost everyone is releasing suppressors but that never really got much attention so the event seemed underwhelming.
