The Tracker should be a reader

I once had an argument with some youngins at work. They insisted Gilligan's Island was in color whereas I stood my ground that it was black & white. I thought I'd be cute and "phone a friend". I called my older brother and put him on speaker. When I asked him to confirm the show was exclusively in black and white, after a long pause, he said "we only had a black and white TV dumbass......"

Many moons ago after law enforcement tried the PI thing, definitely not a glamorous job.
 
So in the interest of the original premise of this thread. I’m watching FBI, recorded from last week. Just watched three unsubs firing some type of ARs at 6 FBI Agents, all firing 9mm I’ll assume, in a room in back of a warehouse that was about 12x20. All guns were firing numerous rounds. While the unsubs escaped with the C-4 they were stealing, shouldn’t all 9 of those involved in the shootout (dozens of rounds) be deaf for a day or two? Didn’t see on set of ear protection anywhere, other that the FBI earpiece radios, which I doubt have noise cancellation, being a government agency and all.

When I was a Deputy many years ago, us and city PD were to assist the FBI in a felony arrest at a motel just outside city limits. We all had what was called Sonic ear protection, we loaded up our gear and went to the meeting place. The FBI pointed out the cabin and we took our positions and waited for the plan to go into action when the door opened a portly man stepped out on the porch with coffee in hand. He looked to be in his 50s and the description we were hold the description said mid 30s then the radio crackeld and the words were "We are at the wrong place,this is not our man. We deputy's faded into our unmarked cars and proceeded to check out the county. Needles to say are Sheriff was not happy but nothing came out in the paper about a wild goose chase and no thank you from the feds and not a trace of paperwork That was the second time I had interaction with the FBI.

I watched that same episode and said to my wife that they’d all be deaf. She rolled her eyes and went back to the show. I kept quiet and went back to doing whatever it was that i was doing. 🤨
