The Harvard president has resigned under pressure. Gov DeSantis has appointed DEI critics to college boards. County school boards held to account over wokeism. Courts are putting the brakes on some anti 2A legislation in the socialist states.
Other states are moving in similar ways. It is happening slowly and there is a long way to go but I believe common sense in taking hold and we are heading back to center. I think we will see a recoil from wokeism this election year. For certain we have an interesting year of competing philosophies ahead. I am stocking up on popcorn.

Tenure is a tough nut. I am sure this was a negotiated settlement to get her to step down without too much fuss

Well, the forced resignation was at least a sign they knew it (the position/plagiarism) was undeserved and wrong, but unfortunately they were not willing to do anything really significant about it. But they had to acknowledge, even without saying it out loud, why that particular person held that particular position. jj

Bill Maher has been getting attention for saying some very "un-woke" things lately.

And it seems to be spreading. There are brand-new comedy specials on Netflix from Dave Chappell and Ricky Gervais--two VERY different comedians who are favorites of mine--saying some of same "un-woke" things. If these two guys have had it with "cancel culture," the the worm might truly be turning.
