Gun Control’s ‘Public Safety’ Disguise​

But Canadian-style confiscation is already creeping into America. Virginia’s legislation to ban MSRs would prohibit the sale of new rifles in the Commonwealth and ban the possession of standard capacity magazines. A grandfather clause for those who legally possess these magazines today was originally not included. The original draft legislation required those possessing magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds to destroy them, modify them, surrender them to law enforcement or move them out of the state under the threat of a potential year-long jail sentence and $2,500 fine.
 
Honestly, with the rate the current administration is dismantling the country and taking liberties with citizens rights, if they had decided to make disarming of the populace a hot button item we would see a significant portion of the gun owning population buckling under. Sure there would be a vocal minority who would raise arms, but I don’t honestly think they’d be a match for the US military. God forbid it ever happens, but I can’t help but feel like the groundwork is being laid.

In the same manner the Administration could have told the states that bans and capacity limits are to stop and those states would have folded under the threat of political action, they way so many have on other issues, but that hasn’t happened because I think the White House is keeping its options open.

Serious mental illness, period. If you’re so nuts you don’t believe the evidence of your eyes as to what sex you are it’s no surprise that you have serious issues with reality. These clowns need to be in the enchanted castle for both Their well being and that of the general populous . Instead they’ve been encouraged to believe their make believe is real- then when something disrupts their fantasy world they spin out of control

I'm going to say the same thing I say every time this discussion comes up.

Joe McCarthy was right. America has been infiltrated by Communists, Socialists and Communist sympathizers.

And they're running the NEA. I would bet you that 80% of the teachers in any given school in this country are Hard Core Leftists.
They probably all voted for Kamala Harris and they're the ones who are indoctrinating your kids.

Why do you think that America is Shifting left? Because we're teaching communist ideology to our kids in our Public Schools.

I personally think the world is rapidly running out of time. I really believe that we are very close to the seven year tribulation period.

But if I'm wrong, in a generation or so when all of us Boomers are old and dead the government will vote to abolish the Second Amendment and it will tell our grandkids that guns are evil and only the government should have them.

When that happens our grandkids who were indoctrinated in public schools will believe them and they will turn them all in.

Then the government will go after the few remaining hold outs and America will become a communist Nation Under a unified communist world government.

I'm also going to throw another one out for you.

Trump's not a great president. He was better choice than Kamala Harris but he wasn't a good choice. He has pissed a lot of republican-leaning moderates off.

I am predicting the next national election is going to be a Blue Wave. I'm also predicting that it will be a blue wave that America will never recover from.
 
Here I was thinking that I became a citizen of a gun friendly country, only to realize after several years of really learning what the politics here is all about, that the bloody fight is everywhere.

I recently read an article saying that Canada is ramping up their “buy back” campaign, and because many municipal police agencies are reluctant to take part (the RCMP also said as much), the government will be employing civilian contractors to actually use registration records to collect firearms from people who have registered them (and in Canada, it’s difficult to procure a firearm without registering it). The article really p***ed me off. I’m seeing the same thing happening in blue states. Canada tried it before and it failed miserably. This time they are using more force, and now they have more rhetoric to use.

The way I see it, the fight to defend our 2A rights is going to get much uglier.
 
Seriously, it always was ugly, in my 40+ years, today’s gun grabbers are similar to the days of old gun grabbers, they just use different means today, plus I hate to say it, most of today’s youth have no clue about any of the amendments, so they go with whatever “trend” is going on, it’s never going to get better. While I no longer belong to the NRA, back when I did, they were the powerhouse for gun rights, now other pro gun organizations try to take up the fight, in all honesty, we need the old NRA back and we need to teach today’s youth how America was made, just my input
