I am a lefty new to this forum, and to the garrison 4.25 45, and would like to comment on the lamentations of those who are unhappy with the right oriented 1911 safety as Mr Browning designed his pistol. I carried a colt commander with the single safety for work for 28 years, and learned to sweep the safety off with my trigger finger upon drawing the weapon. With practice, this is as fast as a righty thumbing the safety. my reasoning is that if one needs to draw the weapon, it should be ready to fire. Just my opinion, but it served me will in all my working years. As a new garrison 4.25 owner, I believe it is at least as good a weapon as my old colt!
