Well me and a friend had a range day planned for Wednesday but with the heat index in the triple digits we called it off. Humidity here in the south makes it feel like you put on a body suit when you go outside. He has a new Canik he just picked up today he is wanting to try out plus I’m wanting to try the Apex trigger I installed in my HellCat. I worked outside in the heat and cold for years but it kicks my tail now. Went and fed the rabbits at 6 and gave them fresh water and made sure the fans were running to help keep them cool. Checked on the chickens so I might have been outside 30 minutes. Sweat was pouring off of me and my shirt was soaked and I got dizzy. Hopefully it will cool down some next week.
 
It does get hot here in southern New Mexico. Stays extremely hot from June to September Then cools down to just hot in October. I have gotten used to it in the 32 years I have been here. I still don't really like it but I don't control the weather.
 
Right now at 4:30am it's 80 degrees and 15-20 mph wind. Everything is so dry. Doesn't even help to water lawn, its gone until the fall.
 
65 here now, and i gotta water the flowers...this is the calm day before the "storm",

of temps up to 100 and at least 110 with the heat index with the humidity.

weatherman said temps of 100 for 3 days in a row, happened back in 1944 and then again in 1994.......

i don't recall 1994 as i was on the road back then.

but my poor wife had to deal with it, and yes, we did have window a/c units.
 
Oh, yeah, and this is why I prefer to shoot indoors. Weather doesn't matter at all. Worst I have ever had to deal with is making sure hte parking lot was plowed :ROFLMAO:

yeah, the public range is closed all this week (how convenient) and at my club, i have to turn on the a/c in the range to cool it down, so its actually hot back there for a long time, making waiting for it to cool down time consuming.


i only have so much time to sit and wait.
