Absolutely hate sharing targets with complete strangers@SimonRL range session today.
Running some Mixtape subsonics that were as quiet as a small snap of the fingers. Crazy quiet with that can the mixtape.
We ran our AR’s and some Sigs

Then, after I Dialed in the LWRC for 50 yard zero.
forgot to adjust for 20 yrds indoor and shot low .. doh !!!
Rookie error. Still a good group, but low.. anyway .. great run today.
Had a lane next to us right blasting away with a Judge .410. Then broke out his 9mm and shot my target on top right .

And no tree……..Incorrect sir.. 3 feet. Not yards![]()
I was dinging that 1 in target in the head box at 20 yds literally thinking “who needs a tree?”And no tree……..![]()
I thought @TEXASforLIFE was back in town. It's your story, you can tell it however you want!
na, my guns are way to cheap and barely cost more than a used hy-pointI thought @TEXASforLIFE was back in town.
No shooting. All seminar..I'll be expecting those targets to arrive in the mail next week.
Did Simon have to kick you in the shin under the table to get you to stop telling so many stories?Went back to the range today with @SimonRL to join in a Sig event featuring Kyle Lamb.
Leadership seminar event with Kyle as host. “Leadership in the Shadows” author and Sig instructor.
Give it a B+
7 hr seminar. About 4 hrs of war stories and 3 hrs of leadership examples.. could have been half the time event. Good solid 2A fun though.
No luck there, but we did get some good info on how to be a good leader to your tree and how to encourage your tree to branch out.I'll be expecting those targets to arrive in the mail next week.
So many “I woulda been fast ropin’ out of those Blackhawks with the boys, but my shin splints…” stories. I think him and Trump went to the same Doc In Canada.Did Simon have to kick you in the shin under the table to get you to stop telling so many stories?

Did a session with the instructor at our local range yesterday evening. solo work. poor @SimonRL actually had to work for a living.
Some shoot n move drills. 10-15 yards. I was rusty. ugg... been since last Holidays.
used the P211 GTO for the drills.
Started with 10/15 yards slow fire from draw shooting chest across 6 targets. then same for torso. then same for head. no issues. all in small targets.
RO added in slow movement. items like sidestep a couple paces while drawing then fire.
Then we went into quicker movements. Both physically moving and speed of draw/shoot. sprint from left side of range to right side of range and shoot the chest or torso target back across from where you came. run right, and then shoot left far target. vice versa. repeated with head shots.
next phase was all inclusive. sprint left or right, shoot target far side and work your way across all head shots then back across all torso shots. reload as necessary. reloads required moving a couple steps away from where you went slide stop to reload as you move. reengage when loaded to complete where left off.
Then we did the same where he threw in a zig-zag. sprint right, shoot far left head, middle target torso, right target back head. then repeat other side.
I fumbled a few on the safety. I failed to disengage and went ohas I drew and "fired"..
the shooting far across diagonally threw me for some as I'm left eye dominant and that far right head shot got me a few times.threw a few rounds with going to increased speed as he stood behind me saying speed up, milk the reset quicker... etc...
All in all a great hour & half. shot almost 300 rounds of 124 gr. running four 21 round mags. sometimes all the mags were gone really, really quick
start draw time cold first run avg was 1.79. end run avg was 1.3
Rusty rusty on some hits, draw times and movement. why we train right ?
had a blast. Rate myself a "B" for performance/accuracy. RO agreed. I'll be doing sessions every 2 weeks for a couple months, then prob go back to 1x a month for cost sake . 300 a session adds up quick.
Didnt take a pic of first round targets, but here is round 2. The fast move/speed targets
