College educated, and an 0-5 at that. What I would have given to have been studious enough in my youth to become a commissioned officer. His great career is over. He got lucky, having several charged dropped. Ask him if it was all worth it. Better yet, ask his wife and family, if he has one.

Yep. He’ll end up paying millions for that (loss of pension/healthcare). Not to mention probably significant jail time to follow. He should be happy the feds prosecuted and not the military (at least that’s how I read the article)…would have been 100% worse.

Also concur he deserves everything he gets. As a Lt Col, I’m thinking he could have easily gotten an FFL in most of the States he was stationed.
