Wise response. It’s doubtless for “emissions” and you can bet that if it’s done (1) fuel economy will decrease (2) power will decrease and (3) DEF consumption/regens will increase. It's always gonna be free with no cost. i dunno, if it ain't broke don't fix it. besides i have a diesel mechanic up the road that does all my work if i can't do it. i don't trust a dealership.
The notices do say it's a recall and says it's for emissions. i doubt dodge gives a rats *** about it. i figure this is some BS the EPA is shoving down their throat to do. either way i am not letting them screw up my Truck. i'm not far from removing all that crap anyway. already have on the 2000 ram, it has no mufflers or cat. straight piped all the way.

wasnt the rams part of the emission fix because ram or stelantis got caught hmmm "fixing the tests " at epa or something to that effect on certain trucks? as it isDo you guys get these notices? i get them almost every week by mail wanting me to reflash my 2015 Ram diesel. been getting them for a long time. always telling me what it will do for the truck. trucks runs fine now. they even offer some small incentives for me to do it. is the government pressuring these guys to do this? sometimes i get two a week, some are postcards and some several pages of a letter.
Even got one that was kinda threatening in a small way. Truck runs fine and get decent mileage, especially with 35 inch tires and rims. i am NOT letting them screw up my truck. they and the EPA can buzz off.
No, we don't even have inspections anymore. they done away with that years ago.is your state an emission test required state for diesels
then toss it in the trashNo, we don't even have inspections anymore. they done away with that years ago.
Now that's probably the same here, but i have no intentions of selling one to a dealer. not buying another either. way too derned expensive now.here you cannot sell your truck to a dealer if its deleted in emissions stuff
Exactly! My 2020 is my last one and should last for the duration. My last Ram was a 2006 Megacab with over a quarter million miles on it. I traded it after 14 years on my current truck. Now that's probably the same here, but i have no intentions of selling one to a dealer. not buying another either. way too derned expensive now.
