Took the Kuna and Jakl for a spin today, i didn't take very many pics as i didn't have a lot of time, so the gun pics will be old ones i posted. first was the Kuna. it took a bit to get it sighted in. was shot at 50 yards. this gun most definitely needed breaking in. it was hitting all over the place at first which made it hard to get the prism sight set. and the selector switch was a very hard pain to move. couldn't do it with a flip of the thumb. needed to grab it with both fingers. it got easier but still is hard to move. shot it about 200 rounds only took one pic of target and almost forgot it. had to peel up the new sticker i put on. was last 50 rounds or so at 50 yards. i really like that 4x prism hawke. It never jammed or anything. just worked and was no recoil. really nice little gun.

Next up was the Jakl, shot at same 50 yards, now the Hawke sight on this on is not magnified. but the problem it has a QD mount and it kept coming loose and i had it so tight i though i was going to break it. anyway about the time i got it in the sight would come loose. well after the third time i took it off and used iron sights. run about three hundred rounds through it without a problem. this thing is pretty neat. a cross between an AR an AK. The orange target is where i would get it hitting center and it would move, the black and white one is where after moving the irons around a bit to finally get it hitting black. last few rounds with irons hit the black at 50 yards and i quit. gonna take that red dot back and see if i can trade it for another Hawke 4x prism.

Nice post. I have grown to dislike quick-release mechanisms on optics. The most expensive dot I ever purchased, an Eotech, had a quick-release faulty out of the box, sent it back, was returned with a repair report, and still didn't grip a pic-rail....returned to retailer for full refund. Bought a Holosun...no regrets.
