It is most likelythat Iran blocked the entrances to the mtn complex with tons of dirt to deter Israeli SOF forces from entering and blowing it up . Like they did in Syria.

This may have been the push Israel needed to have US drop the 30k bombs.

Plugging the tunnel entrances with dirt would have preempted the growing threat of an Israeli commando raid.
