I think I have a problem.

I keep buying "awesome" gear from UF Pro.

I just spent another $800.

Does anyone else have a favorite Brand in the tactical outerwear genre that they can't get enough of? Yeah, UF Pro has become that for me. They sent me a unique marketing code to apply a discount towards Black Multi-cam gear to match the Striker XT Gen 3 Combat Pants I already purchased so I of course had to go look and I can't go look without buying something because they have exactly what I want and need for inclement weather gear to replace all the company branded gear I've been using. I am looking at these purchases as solving a long-term clothing/wardrobe transition so it is an investment. They are made to endure and perform and I've no complaints with any of the items I've already had for coming up on a year. Anyone not familiar, they have a youtube channel with lots of product demos and design explanations by the designer. I can't believe I never heard of them before last year. Here are some pics of last year's Black Friday haul from Botach.

Mostly solid colors with some extra pockets for mags and other gear. They look like tech pants and polo shirts. I don't really get into the tacti-cool vibe. Most of my training is in my regular street clothes. That's what I'll be wearing if I ever get into a self-defense situation.

tactical seems to just mean twice the price for the same thing. after my tactical notepad and tactical mudflaps didnt make me an operator or repel the wannabes at my old rifle range i decided to stick to regular stuff. jeans and good shoes for regular days, climbing pants and appropriate boots for climbing back country wandering or anything else. i figure a good backpack would be enough for carrying mags and the like if i need it. if things go pear shaped and civies are fighting the military there will be plenty of ammo pouches and armor laying on the ground and ill pick it up then

I see stuff from Propper on the Venture Surplus emails I get. Most of the UF Pro pants I have are solid brown gray in color it looks similar to OD green I think. The P-40 Gen 2 All Terrain pants is what I currently have the most of-8pr. I either wear those or the Gen 2 Tactical Shorts of which until my most recent order arrives is 3pr. I ordered one pair in black multi-cam. I wear it all as part of my EDC. Very utilitarian in design and plenty of pockets and ventilation.

Yeah, I get that. I put a different spin on that by deciding to adopt a utilitarian tacti-cool vibe I guess. Growing up in Scouts whose motto is "Be Prepared" and then going into JROTC and on to the Regular Army Diesel Mechanic and then a Generator Specialist has sort of trained me to always have a certain minimum set of tools on my person. I've adopted the mindset of "If I stay ready, I don't have to get ready." These clothes by UF Pro do a great job of facilitating that level of preparedness for every day. They are highly functional and seem quite durable. They are also very comfortable. I wish I had discovered this brand back in the 90s while I was active duty. They are not cheap but then again they are very well made and functional. I ramble on and on. Nobody else I know seems interested in them because of the prices but I see the prices (after initial discovery purchase) as being directly tied to the value of the item and its function. I am looking at their soft shell jackets trying to decide which one will suit me best. They "UF PRO" also have training videos and all sorts of useful information to help one grow in their preparedness. I should look into becoming a Brand Ambassador, lol. They did invite me to be a product tester but I never followed up on that because I do not really get to train currently like I hope to do soon once I get some of these other things resolved.
