US, Israel launch attack on Iran as Trump announces 'major combat operations'

With the potential for taking an island in the Straits, we will see if the new Corps mission is a viable one. Remember, he took all armor and most of the arty away because we would hunker down on islands in the Pacific, armed with missiles. I certainly don’t want any of my brother Marines hurt, but trying the new mission against Iran rather than China would be a great test case!

Eventually, someone whether it's the Israelis or Americans will need to go get the highly enriched material. At this point all we really know is they've lied about most everything about their projects. This stuff gets into Hamas or Hezbollahs hands more than likely it will be used. Heaven forbid they have a bit of plutonium laying around.

Ok, fixed the erros on the post…

My post:

Not to sidebar Iran, but I’m curious how crew chiefs will man suppressive fire of enemy when you have 2 giant rotors in the way during landing, deployment of troops as you enter the drop zone. Like Osprey, I guess they will have to transition to upward rotor tilt long before drop zone. Kind of defeats quick entry

Yep.

Plus with the rotors forward for speed , #1 = a massive radar signature, and #2 - can't fly down low scrapping the trees tops with the rotors forward so the small speed advantage of the tilt rotor is negated.

The Sikorsky entrant didn't have that problem, but was a little bit slower.

IMO the Bell tilt-rotor is best suited for the USMC and Coast Guard.
