Personally it’s Glock. Glock is doing what Glock does best at. I was thinking about doing some of their GSSF stuff next year now I’m going to get hands off.

For everyone saying it's about the switches... it's more than likely about the money in the form of patents. Re-engineering product manufacturing lines isn't something you do in the short term.

No 9mm MOS guns in wave 1. Glock 23 but no Glock 22. Non-9mm MOS options to start. No COA guns at all. Very strange.

For everyone saying it's about the switches... it's more than likely about the money in the form of patents. Re-engineering product manufacturing lines isn't something you do in the short term.

Okay, lost that 10 minutes of life. Might be because of switches, might be because Glock patents expired in early 2000s. Not a very definitive position either way.

I will say his speculation that Glock “could” do some innovation, I’d like to know what Glock could do that’s brand new to the firearms market?

I will hold the position it’s all about the preventing lawsuits against Glock unless they stop the ability for the average person to 3d print a switch and stick it in a Glock in 30 seconds.

As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, likely the “V”s will prevent removal of the rear slide cover and present a different way to remove striker and access that area for cleaning.

While not a firearms engineer, I’m having a difficult time coming up with anything Glock could add that will lead to new patents preventing any other company from copying them.

First they went after the P320, now all Glocks, what’s next…….there main objective in the long run will be confiscating all guns…..there just doing this in small steps right now, this I fear is just the beginning……also forgot Polymer80 is also gone…..

I'm looking forward to the suits against Ford, Chevy, GM et all to prevent people from modding them with chips and programs to allow more speed and acceleration, too. That's deadly, dangerous and not required to never exceed the posted speed limit.

Then we go after the drink manufacturers for putting sugar in sweet drinks.

We can sue all kinds of manufacturers because people can mis-use their products. We'll all be rich! And safe!

As for new patents, changes to how the trigger bar interacts with the sear and disconnector could well be enough - no more cruciform trigger bar. Instead, some other design, or a housing change to limit access to the trigger bar.
