for his pistol stuff I don't agree with keeping your shoulders tight. You're adding tension - it doesn't manage recoil at all - it just makes you more rigid so your platform is more stiff.

he's combatting muzzle climb just fine - he's got a decent bit of wobble on the slide closing.
