Vortex SPARC, good deal?

Hi,

For $99, is this a good deal for an AR sight?

If so, I'll order one or two. Then I'll have an extra optic to use on my M&P FPC.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Hi,

Magnified prism is the way to go.

Thank you. I'm sure there certainly are better optics available. I'll let you know when I've saved up enough gig money for a really nice one. I'm just looking for "bang for your buck" solutions right now. I've seen/read quite a few good reviews on this unit. Plus, at $250 below MSRP, it seems like a good deal, a decent optic to start with. I wanted to check in with you guys first. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I have these on a few guns and they are awesome, prism sights are always on, you never need the light except in low light situations. the image is etched in the glass. i paid a lot more for mine too. the commie gun thread i just made has the 6x Hawke prism but Natchez is sold out at the moment. they were sold out of these. guess they got more in. now they are 100 bucks more than that vortex. but if you have a place that has both, look through them. you will go home with the Hawke.

The sparc solar lists for $279 at cabellas and $259 at brownell’s.
I picked up this sparc solar from psa for $99. Mounted it yesterday and sighted it in on my fpc. Works fine for what i want it for. I like the “shake awake” feature that turns it off after 14hrs and back on when moved. It is lighter and more compact than the sparcii i originally had on the fpc. So for $99 i thought it was a good deal.
