What would you pick for your fighting rig in these times of growing tensions in the event of a likely riot? Include handgun(s), rifle or shotgun, knife. Limit it to what you can carry, a beltfed is OK if you can carry it, even a grenade launcher if you can carry it. Remember you have to carry the ammo too. For you guys that are never gonna leave your house, how is your house set up for defense. Are your walls bullet proof? How big is your field of fire? Do you have a range card ready? Somebody to watch the rear/sides.

Since the last thread went SciFy fast, lets limit this one to what you actually have on hand.

I'll start. If Im still going back and forth to the shop and since Im suburban on the edge of rural, Id pick my G3K (12" version of the HK G3 in 308win). Its good out beyond 300m and hits harder than a 556; which is good because the ammo is heavy and Id limit my load to five 20 round mags. Im less concerned about a handgun (in this situation); but feel weird without one, so I guess a Glock 17 and one spare mag. I just picked up a Al Mar S.E.R.E. (3" version) fixed blade. It gets used more to cut tape on boxes at the shop. My rig contains 1 liter of water in a steel bottle and a IFAK with two TQs. All of that will fit on the front seat, with the rifle next to the transmission hump and the rest on the front seat.

Thats a HEAVY threat kit; but it was fun putting it together. Honestly a pistol type PDW would be fine with a lot more ammo; but some of the distances are longer if Im out on foot (which would suck!)

Noooooo thanks If somebody else is paying, Id want the whole house to be a bunker OR at least something the size of a garage. I used to worry about NUKES, now Im more concerned with the Entitled Hoards rampaging, so I just want bullet resistant walls, a good range card and enuf HEDP to make The Roach envious

Lucky boy to have a G3K. That's gonna keep your ears wax free in zombie times when you have fewer medical providers! As far as house defense, I always like Will Smith's home defense panel in "I Am Legend." Better living through technology.

Being honest, its a PTR that started as a pistol with a 12" barrel. Ive toyed with the thoughts of the 8 inch barrel but I just dont see any practical use for one. The 12" gives up a lot of 308 performance but I think the blast can be a positive too.
 
If Ukraine happened right here, Having 30 plus years of Sig 22x series both agency and personal (and a ton of trigger time with my agencies 228) my 226 is probably my go to war sidearm.

Rifle probably AR 15 shotgun again a few decades with Remington 870’s. Lethal less lethal and breaching short barrels.

My reality though in everyday normal earth people in the USA I run a lot of wheelguns and 10 shotgun again or less autos as I am not paid to get into other peoples problems these days!

Hahaha You sound like me with the 226 and 870; lots of PD time and familiar like an old girlfriend. If I was going back to "those" days it might be a M9 (Beretta 92 series); but thats probably because I have serious lust for a Beretta 93R, OK and a lot of Army time with a M9
 
Okay… if i read this right it is in the case of a riot and not a long drawn out affair. If this is the case the i’m going “modern cowboy”. S&W FPC (w/3. 23rd mags) and S&W M&P9 M2 (w/4-5 17rd mags). Mags are interchangeable between the 2. Mags for the FPC are carried on the rifle. No extra bulk. The 17rd mags on my belt. I believe this would be sufficient to get me out of harms way and home.
My home has a guard turrets, a drawbridge with accompanying moat stocked with alligators with lazers on their heads. 🤫

Hahaha I lived in a HOA neighborhood once. The only wat to survive was to get on the board and poke fun at all the Karens. One woman, whose house backed up to the woods wanted the HOA to pay for the removal of fallen tree limbs. She arguably had a house on one of the nicest locations in the community because it backed to woods but expected us to pay for some kind of Forrester to manicure the woods

I can just imagine some HOA Karen coming out to site rioters for noise violations and leaving trash on the lawns from the houses they looted

It took me a minute to warm up to a Beretta from my Model 15 but I bought a Sig 220 whem I got out of the Air Force I was joining a PD as a reserve and the range guy said he didn’t want me carrying a 1911 not so much he didn’t trust me but a young officer tackle berry they hired the range guy didn’t want to deal with him (smaller town PD politics ) on the department so I got a 220 and have loved Sig 22x series. Later Ran a 228 with DOJ for 15 years and have a 226 Legion

If I went down to one auto as much as I love my HK LEMs I will always have a Sig 226 (and maybe a M11A1)

My last range trip couple days ago
