Was the Atomic Bombing of Japan Necessary?

I had my chance and missed it when Biden only wanted ice cream and an autopen. I could have slipped in "nuke country xxxx" on the autopen orders. may still have a chance though, Trump is crazy and ballsy enough... wonder if he like really really good whiskey   :LOL::LOL: "Hey,Don, Country XXX called you XXX". Ya gotta admit, a very small one one the assahola in Iran in ‘79 would sure have prevented a lot of bs over the last 40 years. He was in “Goom (sp?0 so it’d been “boom, no Goom”😊

Too late to ask those who would have been tasked with the job. They were fairly unanimous in their opinion. I can only honor those who were there at the time.

This business of second guessing history has gotten out of hand in my opinion. Those living at the time and in the situation were fully aware of their decisions. The Constitution is a good example, they knew why they wanted what they wanted, they lived it.

We’d have 100’s of millions if not a billion more alive if it weren’t for the spread of communism. Mao Zedong wouldn’t have murdered 100’s of millions alone, Stalin with 10’s of millions murdered, Khmer Rouge 3 million… Plus all of the Americans who didn’t come back fighting the evils of communism. That probably is about 100K. Truman should have struck Moscow and Leningrad too and ended communism there… China would have been an ally if the OSS also tied up loose ends by getting rid of Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh after WWII as well and that would have saved probably around 500 million.
Patton was right... We should have kept going east until we took Moscow!! Imagine not having to live under the Cold War threat of thermonuclear annihilation at the hands of a communist oligarchy. In the last 100 years, not counting military deaths, 260 million people have died at the hands of global communism. China wouldn't be the threat it is today if we had backed Chiang Kai-Shek (the George Washington of Taiwan) for nationalist control of mainland China. And to add insult to injury, the US has NEVER acknowledged the sovereignty of Taiwan (aka Republic of China)!

Consider this: if we wiped the USSR off the map in 1946, China would have never become a nuclear power, and most likely India & Pakistan wouldn't have, either!

We have been lied to on a massive scale re. history. I have come to seriously doubt there were nukes dropped on Japan. Started reading this book:

Hiroshima Revisited: The evidence that napalm and mustard gas helped fake the nuclear bombings

by Dr Michael Palmer (Author), Dr Franklin Stahl (Foreword)

And this today from a Substack, "Lies Are Unbecoming":

"I read Parker’s novel alongside Michael Palmer, MD’s Hiroshima Revisited, a 2020 work that makes a striking claim: the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted not from nuclear detonations but from conventional firebombing combined with poison gas—specifically sulfur mustard—and napalm incendiaries. Palmer, a physician and biochemist, builds his case across several evidentiary domains: the physical destruction patterns, the medical symptoms in survivors, the burn characteristics, the anomalous distribution of “radiation sickness” in time and space, and the failure of physical measurements to substantiate the nuclear narrative."

My father flew P-38s for the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. He accepted that nukes were real and dropped, but told me many years ago words to the effect that "everyone" knew that the Japanese were defeated and about to surrender. Even the Japanese knew they had no chance of victory. He felt they were totally unecessary and evil to be used on a civilian population.
Yeah ok lol sigh
