President Donald Trump said Thursday that U.S. retaliatory strikes against Iranian targets were “just a love tap” and confirmed a ceasefire is in effect.

Speaking to ABC News, Trump also said “the ceasefire is going” before adding, “It’s in effect.”

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said Thursday that American forces “responded with self-defense strikes” on Iranian targets after three Navy destroyers came under missile and drone fire from Iranian forces but were not struck.

The U.S. targeted three Iranian ports along the Strait of Hormuz: Bandar Abbas, Qeshm and Bandar Kargan.

The destroyers targeted by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz were the USS Truxtun, USS Mason and USS Rafael Peralta.

Agree, I'm getting whiplash from all of it. Personally I think we should have got after it HARD once Iran fired on their gulf neighbor, an overwhelming onslaught. It seems like once again the USA is leaving the population hung out to dry after we made a promise to help if they rose up against the government.
It just crazy.
 
Im of the feeling that there will never be a true truce with those people. How can you have a truce with people that believe anyone who doesnt bend a knee to their religion should be enslaved or killed. Once we accept that we arent dealing with a nation; but instead a "religion", perhaps the expectations will become clear.

Their own religion tells them that they can lie to non-believers, so how can we expect to believe them

Agree the only thing they respect is Brute force. If they survive, somehow they think they’ve won. I think it’s time we say “Enough. One more attack on ANY ship, one more missile or drone launched at ANYbody by you OR your proxies and Karg island becomes a smoking hole and 90% of your post war income disappears. Choose wisely grasshopper”

"ENOUGH" exactly. They are not to be trusted, in the Middle East and HERE. They are a THREAT and the sooner we realize that the better. Delay is at our peril

We didnt care who got bombed back then, today its all about collateral damage. F That they intentionally target civilians Maybe its time to return the favor.

Send them a list of towns with numbers and tell them we are playing bingo and Wack-a-Mole at the same time
 
Their government is cracking down on protesters who go against the government and now they want us to help them.
Why should we help those that constantly chant death to America and attack Americans when they are allowed in this country??
