testtest

We got another P320 Shake-Awake incident.

They also started offering aftermarket heavy drop-in trigger springs to address that problem. I served as a local police reserve when that was happening, and when we got our duty guns (reserves had to buy them ourselves) we were given the new spring kits on qualification day and had to put them in ourselves before we qualified. Fun times!! I think my G22 ended up with a 12lb trigger... if I remember correctly. It was brutal, but no more "Glock legs" ever again.
That was NYPD request (8 lb) and NY2 (12 lb) that was the doing of NYPD and they did the 12 lb NY2

They didn’t even authorize autos for standard coppers til around 1994/5 and it was Glock NY2 Sig DAO (not DAK) and S&W DAO 5946 (my agency had some and the 5946 had the smoothest shortest DA trigger stroke very underrated and was like a very tuned and slicked up PPC revolver but shorter trigger travel)

Between 2016 and 2019 NYPD ran a test that half the recruits had the standard 5 lb trigger the others the NY trigger and the scores went up.
Maryland (if I remember right from Glock Armorer course back them) had the same results

NYPD ran the 12 lb to better emulate a revolver but it didn’t help as one rookie still accidentally shot a subject and went to prison bottom line don’t point guns at people uiu have no probable Cause or are legal to shoot

A retired NYPD friend I met at East Coast Revolver Roundup works as rangemaster in his retired job and said they had a test of 100 FN 509 MRD (what LaPD use now) with red dot as a test. And it got approved just waiting on downtown to write up the approval letter.

The best way to get a revolver trigger on a Glock is run the 8 lb with a minus connector

I remember the emphasis that uiu had to start the trigger pull on the draw from the Jordan style homsters that had the trigger exposed so we could get on it as we got our grip)
I was around back then also. Even back then around here it was, keep your bogger digger off the bang switch. YMMV.

I just remember whem I came in the revolver still had a solid hold and our course of fire was point shootjng at 3 or 7 yards and the emphasis was (other than hih need to get it done in 6) was start the trigger pull on the draw and it was breaking as uiu came up with the muzzle at the target.

Darryl Bolke had a similar story as I got yelled at. I was very fast and my rounds were touching but I used my sights and that was not accepted….

Glocks with their light 5 pound trigger changed that as some folks got but. But we figured that out pretty quick.

Then the early 90’s that whole kver used booger hook phrase came out!

I was one of the few that didn't mind it. I'm a BIG dude (6' 6") and heavy triggers never bothered me at all. Sometimes, they're a blessing.

My brother in Christ... they are NOT "argumentized threads and youtube vids". They are surveillance cameras at a damn SCHOOL. And critical evidence.

Yet people are STILL defending this company. THAT is the door to the retard farm.

At some point, the typical Sig fanboy decided Sig was the best. And at the time, they probably were. They went out and bought a whole bunch of Sigs. They got a Sig hat and a Sig sticker for their truck, and a Sig t-shirt, and told all their friends that Sig was the VERY best.

And then the P320 happened and the videos evidence started rolling in. Now that's egg on the fanboy's face, and Sig made the absolute worst decision a company could make. Now they have to scrape that Sig sticker off their truck, throw away the t-shirt, and =gasp= admit to all of their friends that they were WRONG and they can't do that. Gotta save face! So let's pretend this is a police problem, or a Safariland problem, or a training problem. Whatever it takes to keep the worst disaster that could happen from happening: Sig making you look like a FOOL. There's no coming back from that. Better that people are shot than a fanboy having to scrape a sticker off a window.

That, my friends, is the REAL problem here. If you're a sig fan and you can't admit this model is a huge problem and the company f**ked up, then you're not emotionally mature enough to own firearms. Cut & dried.

Perhaps you should post all these vids & threads on a Sig website, of which this one is not.

Why on earth would I join a Sig website? The forum is titled "Guns" not "Springfield Armory guns ONLY". It's a place we come to have discussions. Are you suggesting we limit content on this entire board to SA related only? If so, it's going to be a very boring place indeed.

And to be very clear, this is the definition of "forum":

forum /fôr′əm/

noun

  1. The public square or marketplace of an ancient Roman city that was the assembly place for judicial activity and public business.
  2. A public meeting place for open discussion.
  3. A medium for open discussion or voicing of ideas, such as a newspaper, a radio or television program, or a website.
