What are you doing right now??

Hi,

Mrs. BassCliff and I are enjoying a fictional narrative with a smorgasbord of desserts and a glass of wine.

A nice way to relax after a strenuous day. I guess I could've skipped my workout since I was doing all the yard work today. Am I getting old, or what?

Oops, I forgot to put my feet in the picture. :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

You ole romantic dog you

just came back for the cemetary.

i had put a flag on my grandad's grave, he served in WWI

the flag was gone

either the wind broke the stick, or a dumbass caretaker riding the lawn tractor, ran it over....

i dunno....

not only has summer season started...so has put up yet another flag on the grave cuz something happened to it......season

My parents are both buried at the Massachusetts National Cemetery out on cape cod. They do not allow individual flags on graves out there. My grandfather who was also a WW1 vet was buried at a civilian cemetery in Rosdale Ma but no more family members to go to the grave anymore. Same thing will happen to me, nobody around to come to my grave. At least I will have peace and quiet.

yeah, grand dad is buried in the "family" catholic cemetery. flags are allowed at his gravesite, which he has a gravestone implanted into the ground, not a stand up type...so the lawn mowers, lawn tractors can easily drive over the area to cut the grass.

but it is also in an area where the winds blow thru there which is why memorial day the flag goes up, and after veterans day, it comes down, due to the gale force winds.

sometimes too...people just steal flowers and flags.

i went last summer and sprayed a gallon of Round Up all around his stone, so in fact, there really isn't grass (or weeds) near that stone at all.......

i use to also put a plastic flower pot with an incredibly long spike into the ground for his wife (grandma), but.....

either the winds, or thieves took care of that as well.....

Setting here at my part time job with a hangover from to much moonshine last night. That’s a bad thing about living in the south if you don’t make it one of your friends do and they bring over a jar and say man you’ve got to try this. I haven’t had a hangover in a loooonnnngggg time and it will be a long time before I have another one. I’m to old for this💩. Back when I was a younger man it was hair of the dog to cure a hangover. Or a 5 mile run in boots would cure one every time. At 2 miles in the next 3 was spent swearing you would never drink another drop. If I tried hair if the dog this morning I would have lost my cookies. Breakfast and a monster and a cup of coffee has me feeling a little better. Like I said I’m too old for this.

getting ready to clean up yard from the unscheduled STORM last night
Wholly cheeseburgers it sucked and blowed and rained sideways and straight up
just over 2" reported, but it had to be more as the ditch still has standing water, and few spots in yard,
i swear the house feels like we are sinking to the left a bit.. which is not good with 8" slab with 8 foot piers into the soil all around and in middle

Did a dog walk early, at sunrise. Then got my stuff together and went to the range. Fired the XD Mod 3 and the Shield X which is currently my CCW. Will use the Shield X for my shooting test on Saturday. Got back and went to Harbor Freight then gave Maggie another walk. Cut the back lawn and then cleaned the guns for the next time.
