What are you doing right now??

finally got the chiappa wildlands 1886 takedown taken down (apart) 🥳 . put it back together for another try and🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 it won't take down again................with 1 wrist being bad i can't grip 1 end (receiver or barrel) tight enough to twist it off. time to put it in a vise (doesn't matter which end) and try again. not sure if i should put something on the barrel threads (looks similar to lee's breeck lock bushings as it only has 2 sets of threads instead of 3

Hey everybody,

May blessings of peace, hope, and joy be multiplied upon you and yours.

It's been a glorious Sunday, sunny with temps in the mid-70s during the day and 50s at night. I can tell we're just a couple of weeks away from our Fall weather. We usually get snow before Halloween.

After church today I took Mrs. BassCliff to lunch. Then we stopped by the kids' house because we're dogsitting while they're out of town. We took the two boxer mix K-9s outside to run around for a while. She'll go back over later to put them up for the night. Those two dogs are just too big to hang out here in our house so we go over there a few times a day.

Tomorrow I'll be putting my truck in the shop again. There's one more thing to replace and hopefully the EVAP system will be tight and I'll get no more idiot lights. Wish me luck.

I hope everyone has a great week. Now I'm going to clean a few pistols. I've put it off for too long. But hey, I'm retired, not in a hurry any more. Maybe I'll do a little window shopping for my next addition. :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

popped into bass pro as it's been a while. Well the prices on holsters have really jumped. Took a look at a used .44 mg, very rough, scribed, yoke was crapped out and the ejector mech felt sluggish and gummy, likely heavily used. BBL end was knicked as well and cylinder eject button felt like sand was in there. I passed. Bought some other supplies and went home.
