Greetings!

Good day to you all. After my gig yesterday I got all the mowing and edging done. This was the first cut of the season. It just about wiped me out. This afternoon I've got another gig and will get started on my vacuuming chore afterwards. I'm getting back into the swing of things. It feels good. Next week I'll start my daily workouts again. I think my recovery is just about complete. Thank you for your prayers.

Enjoying my first partial day of retirement. I went into work this morning to start my checkout and was done by 08:30. By 08:37 I had passed through the main gate and was on the freeway headed to my retirement freedom! It reminded me of my last days in the Army and the Marine Corps, never once looking back as I passed through the main gate on my way out. I wish I had thought to throw my old work boots on a power line or a streetlight, but I was more interested in getting the heck out of there! Screw you, Department of Defense! lol Too be fair, I did love my time as a Federal Employee when I was in the National Park Service. One of the best jobs I ever had. But these last 7 or so years with DOD can suck it! lol Now to take the rest of the year off while waiting to have my next total knee replacement surgery.
 
Went to the range today, shoulda stayed home. very few pics taken so i got there and started with the Jakl. i put a 4x prism sight on it instead of the 1x that broke and they replaced. after i got it centered it did good, my usual 5 feet up against tree. about 50 to 60 rounds there.

Then everything came apart, i put the replacement 1x dot on the anderson pistol i just got. it was almost dead on, after a couple moves it was punchin black with the last two. i thought ok it's in. took another shot and this flippin sight died. messed with it a few and it would come on and go off while holding the gun, well i knew i was takin it back so i wasn't going to waste anymore ammo. so i was done with it.

Now for the fun part, i pulled out this marlin 45/70 and was going to sight it in, i knew i had the scope back too far but it was not in focus good unless i did. anyway this thing has a violent recoil and it popped me in the nose. i saw stars for a bit. bled like a stuck hog. got a nice gash on the bridge of my nose. i did take a pic to send to the kids and no i ain't postin it here. :ROFLMAO: and to top it off the Marlin won't feed worth a crap. every round will jam up.
