And of course there’s always a bush or a retaining wall in the way. Which makes the pull longer and more likely to break the cable. Plus the coupling is under that bush so I couldn’t dig it there. And it’s the kind of coupling I can’t get the big cable through so I had to use a small cable. Again, more likely to break.

Holes like this are a pain. I dig them small so they’re easy to make look good when I’m done, but when they’re 44” deep it makes it hard to get down in there with tools and hook everything up.

You can see the piece of sod on the right side of the pics. When I’m done you’ll be hard pressed to tell I was ever here. And that’s how it should be.
No doubt a pain in the butt buy very clean work.
